This particular model was one
of the largest and most powerful from the newly formed Caterpillar Tractor
Company which was a merger of the Best and Holt companies. These two companies
were rival crawler makers and decided to join forces. The Caterpillar name
has become so familiar that when you hear the name, you think of anything
on "tracks". This huge model was so popular that it lasted until 1931.
