These orchard tractors were
fairly prevalent in and around the lower half of Michigan where there are
plenty of apple and peach orchards as well as many vineyards. That is where
we found this good looking O12. Orchard tractors usually were built
low slung to the ground, almost always had wide front ends and generally
had rear fenders that were covering the rear tires and wheels to prevent
branches and tree limbs from getting entangled in the wheels and spokes.
This tractor is a fairly good representation of some of those types of
features.
