This tractor was given several coats of paint over the course of 10 days. My brother, Gary Haynes, who was the former owner of this tractor, completed the restoration work as well as the painting, and he told me that this was one of the most difficult times he ever had with painting a tractor. It seemed as though the paint was translucent and it took several coats before it took on the proper shade of red. I think it was well worth the effort, don't you?
As can be seen from the rear
views of the tractor, the special hand made step plates inside the drawbar
are quite attractive as well as functional. Obviously, these were not original
but they sure do come in handy when trying to mount the machine.
There
is lots of nice detailing work on this tractor. Original appearing decals
in the right places really help set off the paint job. The tractor appeals
to a lot of people at the shows as it should, and it runs as good as it
looks.
